The company, Design Holding, comprises a portfolio of luxury furniture and lifestyle brands. For their design week opening dinner they invited Kay Bojesen to set the tables with the iconic Grand Prix cutlery and tableware designs, offering a minimalistic and captivating look on the twelve big, round tables.
Polished steel charger plates, water glasses and Grand Prix cutlery were placed on the tables as the 120 guests arrived. They would then go on to enjoy a three-course dinner by Michelin-chef Enrico Bartolini, served in the polished steel bowls, KAY porcelain bowls and on the KAY dinner plates.
Kay Bojesen was awarded with the prestigious first prize; Grand Prix in 1951, at the world exhibition Triennale di Milano, for his Grand Prix cutlery.
Now, more than fifty years later, Kay Bojesen’s beautiful and everlasting designs return to the city where it first earned its recognition. The classic and elegant designs combined with the contemporary interior of the museum, culminated in a breathtaking setting.
